Gallery
The mission of the ACO Galleries is to provide a voice for artists working in a diverse system of mediums and genres. Also to provide a ground for interaction between artists and art viewers, making contact between the two a priority. The gallery operates as a traditional gallery, holding monthly solo exhibitions, juried group exhibitions, as well as invitationals such as our annual 5x5 gala.

Judy HowardApril 3 – May 4, 2013
Judy Howard's landscape paintings in soft pastels and watercolor create a sense of time and place through her natural or realistic style. They spark a memory of a familiar place. Her abstract or non-objective paintings break free of labels and objects and focus on movement and rhythm, allowing her artwork to expand from detailed strokes and subjects to broader and more lyrical flowing lines and shapes.

Kirk LanierApril 3 – May 4, 2013
When Lanier thinks in terms of color, texture, the play of light and shadow, composition and the flow of line, he says one can find beauty everywhere. He seeks out places and things that are not usually thought of to contain beauty such as junkyards, old train stations, deserted structures and ghettos. Photography continuously opens new ways of seeing and being in the world.

Dillon ChandlerMay 8 – May 31, 2013
Employing rudimentary techniques, Chandler weaves skins of iron into three dimensional mosaic forms. The steel is forgiving and the results are pleasing to his mind’s eye. Sculpting was never his desire, though its fire now rages inside him, merely a chance encounter with the right elements revealed the ability.
